Hello Berean Church Family,

As we navigate this nation-wide shutdown amidst a global pandemic, we are praying with you for wisdom and courage. We are seeking to honor the health directives coming from our local, county, state, and federal leaders. While we cannot continue meeting together like usual, our heart is to continue to make more & better Jesus followers. Here’s our plan for the next eight weeks (through May 10th):

Worship Gatherings – We will have online-only worship gatherings for the next 8 weeks. Join us Sundays at 8:45am or 10:30am on our website or Facebook page. The videos will also be posted online to watch anytime. These family-friendly worship gatherings will be about one hour and will feature teaching and singing. This Sunday we will have a message specifically about how to respond to this crisis. Those wishing to continue investing in God’s work through Berean can give online, by mail, or by dropping off your gift at the main church office in Greene.

Connect Groups – The next 8 weeks groups will be online-only. Pastor Steve is giving advice to leaders on using technology to do video chats. It is vital to keep our groups together through this crisis, to prevent isolation and meet needs. Please continue to reach out and care for the people in your group.

Growth Process Mentoring – We recommend that mentoring continues utilizing technology if possible. Many people have free schedules and are spiritually hungry during this time of fear and isolation. Pastor Rick will be sending out instructions for how to continue mentoring.

There are many other ways we desire to serve our community through this difficult time. We are mobilizing our staff and volunteers to step into the many needs around us. We are taking steps to assist those most vulnerable to the virus and we are coming alongside our local food pantries to serve those in need. We are also reaching out to local churches to help them do online worship throughout the shutdown.

This is a very fluid situation, so please keep an eye on our Facebook page or website for updates.

Let’s pray for one another as we face down our fears and choose faith in our awesome Savior:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.  – Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Your Pastors,

Justin, Nathan, Rick, Chuck & Steve
